Love Allah

There are three reasons to love someone: 1) Either they’re beautiful! 2) kind with you. 3) Or have done many favors for you. Allah SWT is all three! Allah is beautiful, look everywhere around you, and you’ll notice His most beautiful creation, be it inner beauty or outer beauty. The beauty of everything around us compared to the beauty of Allah, is like that of a weak candle light to the brightness of the sun! And when every other beauty is temporary, Allah’s beauty is eternal and unique, for it’s coupled with everlasting glory!

Show your love to Allah by remembering Him 5 times a day. In return, He sets His Most Beautiful, Glorious Face to yours when you pray! Close your eyes, appreciate the gift of sight. It’s one of Allah’s countless favors upon us. Has anyone been more kind to you?! Try, but you won’t find anyone more kind, you won’t find anyone more giving and you won’t find anyone more worthy of your love than Allah!

The sweetness of this life lies in remembering Him, and the sweetness of the next life lies in seeing Him! He is Allah.

We start our prayer with “Allahu Akbar” because with it we affirm that Allah is greater than anything occupying us at that moment. And we raise our hands while saying “Allahu Akbar” to start prayer to throw everything else behind us. it’s a gesture of complete surrender. When we stand to pray Allah commands “Raise the veils from between Me and my servant!” setting His Beautiful Glorious Face to yours. In prayer, Allah sets His Beautiful Glorious Face to yours ready and engaged with you; and He doesn’t turn away from you unless you do.

In prayer, our sins float up to our head and shoulders, then with every bow and prostration, these sins fall off and away, scattered and gone! Prayer takes you to a much higher level. This is why we repeat “Allahu Akbar” as we move to each position. It is a reminder to refocus. We humble ourselves in prayer to Allah in a dignifying humility because, in essence, it liberates us from the undue humility to fellow man.

Every people have their own method of seeking comfort and relaxation. Some use music, some Yoga and some unfortunately alcohol. We rush to Salah (prayer).

With it we start, with it we finish and with it we taste the sweetness of this life and the sweetness of the next “Bismillah arRahman arRaheem”.
